Finished (for another semester)

So i messed up and wrote and then put in a picture and it didn't work the way i wanted so you get to see the picture first. Kellen was so excited about giving Jet a cowboy hat for Christmas that he put it on her. I got the camera out. As soon as she saw the hat she was laughing and so excited.

Hey everyone,

I am done with my finals and so happy to have yet another semeseter under my belt. My two finals on Thrusday went really well. I know I didn't do super hot on my GIS lecture part of the final, but I got the lab like it was nothin. So I expect a high B in that class. My other class was a Paul class. If you don't know what that is, be grateful. For my siblings to understand it is a class somewhat similar to a Coach Pat class, for reference.

Random Pictures

So Juliet is being a pirate and showing a few of her top teeth.
This is our christmas tree this year. I just love it.

This was Jet playing in the car while we were waiting for Kellen's parents to pick out their christmas tree. She was having a blast, being able to rove around in a car is quite a pleasure to a little kid.

Kellen's parents have this banana chair and Jet was playing with it. So kellen sat her in it and rocked it. She thought she was on a buckin chair see how she has her arms up.

Here is a cool dude picture of my daughter. I am going to print it out and place it next to my cool dude picture from when I was little

I'm Close

Okay so today is the day that I actually have to present my project that I have supposedly been doing all semester in powerpoint format and as luck would have it, I have practically no voice. It is really scratchy and low. I will get through. After this semester I will only have to take 21 more credits to graduate and only 8 have to be upper divison which i have covered this next spring. Then I am DONE HURRAH!! I'm so excited, that I just can't hide it. i went in to talk with my counselor (Dave) (awesome guy) and we figured out that next fall I can take whatever I want. It would basically be like being a senior in high school where the last semaester in just taking easy classes and playing. Awesome. I didn't really experience that when I went to high school. I am so excited. Dave was trying to find a geology class that I might want to take and the truth of the matter is that I have pretty much taken all of them that he knows for sure will be offered. He said I was golden in my homestretch to graduate. Isn't that cool!!

What is DEAD WEEK?

Okay so it is supposedly dead week at school, but that doesn't mean that you have nothing to do. I think I have finally figured out whaty dead week means. You die trying to get all the assignments that your teachers have cleverly made due during dead week. and thus you are dead tired, a dead wreck, and dead mad at the school for all the little stuff the teachers require you to do. I am just stressed a little bit. Kellen was layed off yesterday and even though we will sail through it fine, it is a little stressful when it is right before Christmas. Don't worry, we'll be fine. Maybe I need a soak in a hot tub *wink, wink, Monica* to help me just be calm. I also have to present a project that I have been doing for my GIS class and I always get nervous when I have to speak in front of people. Gotta go, but I figured it would be good if I updated my blog. Maybe next time I'll put up a picture of my Christmas tree, It is sooooo cute. TTFN

Eat and Eat

Well Thanksgiving is past, but I ate my fill to ensure that I ate my fair share of food. We spent Thanksgiving at Kellen's parents and while us girls were home cooking, all the boys were up helping Jake (Kellen's older brother) put up his house. He is trying to get the roof on it before it snows. I am not sure he will make it, but so far the weather has been really good. Some of the boys weren't too happy to have to work on the house for Thanksgiving, but as a family we all helped out and Jake's house is much further along than it would have been if they hadn't helped. There was tons of pie because mom made 1 cherry, 2 banana cream, Laura made 2apple and I made 3pumpkin pies. OHHHH they wer all delicious. Mom didn't realize that I was making more than one pie and asked if I could just make one. I told her it was my mom's recipe and that you couldn't size it down. She was worried that we would have to take the pie home cause it wouldn't all get eaten. I was said that it was okay if we took some home, because I would eat it all myself. Well I am happy to report that it did all get eaten and was good! I did my share on the pies too.

Now we are back in Pocatello and I have to go to school, :( I'll get through. Kellen's friend Dan who is getting married on the 13th is staying with us for two weeks. He got a job here for those two weeks and asked if he could stay with us. He figures it would be good to earn a few more bucks before the big day and to be separate from his honey so temptation has no sway. I think he thinks this is good because Kellen told him that that was how it was for us and we would do it that way again if we got to choose again. Kellen and I tease that Dan is our boy, because we take care of him so much. I am sooooooo excited that he is getting married. It helps me to not get so down with school because I have their wedding to look forward to the weekend before finals. Well that is all I got for now. TTFN

Surprize

Well as Kellen and I were dressing Juliet for church yesterday we see that instead of having only two teeth on top she has four. No wonder she was such a pill lately. We didn't even know she was cutting those teeth because she finally cut her second top tooth. Anyway that was our surprize for the day. Also Kellen and I got to sit all through Sacrament meeting, without having to take Juliet out. That was really nice. The reason we got to stay in was because we had lots of backup. Grandma, Grandpa and lots of cousins. Last Saturday I went to a bridal shower for Malena Perkins. She is marrying Dan Kelly, Kellen's best friend. The shower was really fun and let's just say she blushed a lot, but it was all so cute and fun. Kellen and I are so excited that they found each other. Kellen has been feeling a little out of the loop because since Dan was single and we were married and have a kid, they couldn't really hang out and relate to each other. so that's all I got. Enjoy

Still kicking

I did it!!!! I taught my class and from what the other teachers said about their students I had the best ones. I found out that the students last week picked out the top three classes that they wanted to go to. Well everyone wanted to go to mine and so there were some very disappointed students, but it still made me feel great. I had three boys in my class. THEY PAYED ATTENTION REALLY GOOD. All the students were from an alternative school and it had been a long time since they had gotten to go on a field trip. So they were driiled that they had to be really good. Anyway so after the class we had to meet up with all the other students and evrybody came over to look at what my students had made as a part of the activity we did. They were all jealous because all they had gotten from the other teachers were paper handouts and what we had made were slabs of clay with immpressions of seashells. They looked cool.

Super Nervous

Okay so I took this class this semester called Praticum in Geology teaching. It is a class really geared for education majors, but I took it because i needed more credits. So since it is a teaching class I must teach a class of my own. I teach it tomorrow and I am starting to get nervous. I haven't been thinking about it too hard because Kellen and I spoke in church on tithing so I was focused on that. Those nerves are gone and now these ones are setting in. In a way I feel good because my class has the most students signed up for it, but that just makes me feel like I have to be that much better than anything else that is getting taught. man a big shout out to teachers. YOU are Awesome. This figuring out what and where to teach stuff is harder than my brain really wants to deal with it. Thank you teachers. Anyway that is my getting the nerves out on the line i guess.

Sweetheart Tag

Each person answers questions about their sweethearts. At the end of the post, the person then tags 6 people and posts their names; then goes to their blog and leaves them a comment, letting them know they have been tagged.

What is your husbands name? Kellen Joshua Reynolds

How long have you guys been married? 2 years 5.5months

How long did you date? We met in September 2005, got engaged on February 18,2006 and were married May 24, 2006, so about six months plus or minus

How old is he? Kellen is 25

Who is taller? Kell, but it isn't hard to be taller than me.

Who can sing best? I will claim to be a singer, but Kellen has a very nice voice that he keeps tucked away. I really love it when he sings bass. I have always been a sucker for a bass voice.

Who is smarter? We have our own strenghts and weekness. He knows mechanically stuff, which is good because when it comes to some of the stuff I have no clue, and I am a farm girl. I think smartness is in if you can teach/explain it, Which Kell can do with mechanics and I am able to understand. I am more of what you call book smart, though I do have my moments of genius

Who does laundry? That one is a me. Though if I ask Kellen he will move the loads through for me because I ran out of time and had to go to class.

Who pays the bills? I write out the checks and get them all ready to go, so I guess I do, though Kellen does them every now and again. He really likes it when I do it because then he doesn't have to see how much of his money is gone.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do, actually. Strange (to my sisters we all sleep on the right side, interesting)

Who mows the lawn? We are renting so we don't have to mow, but we are responsible to water the lawn.

Who cooks dinner? I do, and I usually make extra so Kellen can take the leftovers for lunch at work the next day.

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? I am usually the one that is wrong. I usually end up picking a fight where I know I am wrong, but those are usually the ones where I pick it because i am hungry and tired. Kellen has learned to notice that when I do that he just needs to get some food into me, and then I am usually a much much happier person.

Who kissed who first? Kellen kissed me. I was so not prepared for it either. We were both wearing ball caps. Very difficult kiss, but he did it anyway. My knees went weak, I had to sit down. I found out later I was his first kiss. AHH that makes me feel special everytime I think about it.

Who wears the pants? He wears the pants, but we keep the communtication lines open so he knows what I think and I can get a leg in everyso often.
I tag Kara. Monica stole all of my other people I would tag.

halloween

So this is Jet and me playing around. Isn't that smile precious

So these pictures are backwards, but you can still enjoy them
Can I tell you there is a cool girl in the house.

I put her in the laundry basket and then pushed her around in it. she thought it was a blast.

Okay she was a zebra for Halloween A big thank you to my sister Monica for lending me the costume. She was so cute. I was a cowgirl with boots, hat, and belt buckle. Sorry no picture of me is to be had because I was the one behind the camera. Kellen was off to help in the harvest so I went to my friend Kara's halloween party.

Jet at the ward trunk or treat she was tired and a bottle

I know these are late getting put up here, but in my defense the internet keeps dropping my connection and I get frustrated and don't try to do it again.

On and On

I finally get a good picture of Jet's two bottom teeth and she has started cutting her top teeth.

Attack of the laptop. She sure is a fast one. Luckily the camera was also in close grabbing distance. Excellent!!
Tubby Time!!!!!
The Reynolds smile shows through.

This is the first time that Jet stood up in her crib. She was pretty excited with this newfound ability and that mommy was coming into her room to save her from being trapped in her crib.

In the Snow

Hello one and all. This last weekend Kellen and i went out to Arco in prepartaion to bring the cows out of the hills. We arrived Friday morning to realie all of Kellen's family were off doing other stuff and no one knew we were coming. Kellen dropped that ball. Anyway so then Kellen has to do everything by himself because there is no one for me to leave Jet inside with. Kellen's parents house is really cold. I was glad that we had many pairs of clothes for the chasing cows part because we ended up using all of them. We were to meet the Kellys up in the hills above Firth, ID at 8 AM We got there in good time and had to sit and wait for the whole crew to show up. There were two 4wheelers, 5 horses, and a truck. Since Jet had come with us, Her and I had to go in the truck along with Pam Kelly. The morning was cool, chilly weather, but we knew it could get worse so each person on a horse, tied to the saddle a poncho and coveralls in case the weather got bad suddenly, which it ahs been known to do. An example being the first year I went ( it rained, snowed, Sleeted, and hailed on us) WE had the whole back seat of the truack filled with changes of clothes and blankets. We were well prepared. The day went well the majority of the cows were all together near where we bunch them together to take them down. They knew it was time because of the snow. It luckily snowed lightly the majority of the day and as we bunched the cows started to come down. I was driving the truck and Melina was riding Pam had taken her horse because she was frozen through. I knew the snow really starting to come down was bad for the truck. So we hurried down ahead of the herd to make sure the truck didn't get stuck. It was really perfect timing because just as we got to the bottom the snow went into a blizzard. Melina and I talked and waited. They brought them down and Dan and Melina switched places. Dan and I went down to get the corals and gates ready. After we got the cows sorted. We realized that with the snow the semi that was coming was not going to be able to back up to the chute. So we made two trips with 3 trailers to take the cows down to a coral that the truck could get to. It was a smart move because as we unloaded the last trailer it started to rain, and that was the definite that the truck wouldn't be able to back up to the old coral. Jet really likes Dan's brother Preston. He watched her for a while in the truck while I helped. then we all headed home and to bed. That was my exciting weekend. Hope you enjoyed reading about it.

Doesn't this picture just remind you of Lake Powell and how cold the water is getting. From the geologist's point of view this is more than awe inspiring. It is just awesome what erosion can do to rock and what we get to see as a result of millions of years of erosion. Gets you to thinking doesn't it, if not you can just enjoy looking at the picture.

So Excited

So my sister had her baby. It was a girl and when Jason called me to let me know that she had arrived and all those little details that women like to know. Afterward i hung up and told Juliet that her cousin and her partner in crime had arrived. She was so excited and happy. It was really quite amazing. Like she knew that her cousin had come. She was just way overly happy, more than usual that whole day. I visited Camille in the hospital and she looked really good for a third time mommy. I held the newst little one in the Family and she is a cute little thing and so little and light. I guess i am just used to Juliet and her being a chunk from day one it seems. That's all I got right now so be grateful I wrote this much. HEHE

Little teeth

Juliet has teeth. Yup her pearly whites have made their debeau. School is going well for me as the mid-terms are looming ever closer. I pretend to not be afraid. I miss my baby while I am in school, but I also know that this is going to be the time to get my education done or else it will only become harder to get done. The end is close. Monica and Kellen's sister, Lacey watch Juliet for me. I owe them both so much.

So it goes

Hello everybody that actually reads my blog. I have been going crazy lately i swear. Juliet is becoming quite the little wineybaby and I can only take it so long. Kellen can take it even less. I think the reason for the crying is because now that her front two bottom teeth have come up her top two are right behind them. This is causing much of the long nights at my home. Last night Juliet woke up at 12 wanting a bottle. I had been up late going to bed at 11 because of the book Brisngr For all that haven't started yet, it is really good and that is all that I shall dwell on that subject for MJ's sake. Anyway so I get up feed the baby and crawl back into bed to hear her again at 2. So I drag myself out of bed go into her room and turn on the lamp. She looks at me and gives a huge grin (HAHA mommy I got you ouy of bed and since you are up we can play) Because that is all she really wanted to do. I was so furious. I put her back in her crib, put her blanket over her and went back to bed. I also closed her door so I wouldn't be able to hear her little protests at me. She then decides at 6 to get up again. I must mention that Kellen gets out of bed at 5 so he can go to work and always gives me a good bye kiss. Which also wakes me up, but I enjoy that so back to the story. She wants up and I refused to get out of bed. She cried but it wasn't dire need of a bottle just wanting to be out of bed. She ended up falling back to sleep and we both stayed in bed until 8, which I loved. Then I lovingly took care of my Jet and she was actually a lot happier because she had slept a few more hours. Thus I am a tired person today, but I just have to remember that I wanted this. HAHA Anyway that is all for today.

Pics

These are pics of our new truck before we went on a horseback ride in the mountains and a little family pic of us on the last day of Lake Powell

mobile child

hello one and all
I am here to announce that even though Juliet or "Jet" as we call her is not moving up in the traditional crawling position, but she is mobile. She slides along on her belly pulling with her hands and pushing with her toes. It is reallly quite cute and I am very worried about the fact that I must quickly baby-proof my home.

Trying to get updated

i am Back. No longer in a place where I don't have the internet. I tryed to update it before, but at the Library in Arco you only get 30mins. to do what you came there to do and I always ran out of time. School has started for me again. I am getting closer to my goal of having a BA in Geology, btu still have another year ahead of me. Kellen is still working out to the site. We have moved back to Pocatello. We moved ourselves and Kellen said that we are never moving again unless there are people there to help us. This statement came about because we had to move all the furniture up TWO flights of stairs. We were so tired and sweaty after we were done. Juliet wasn't happy with us either because she was not getting the amount of attention that she thought she deserved.

Even though in this picture she looks really happy, WHY because this was taken before we began to pack and move.

busy now

well this weekend has been very busy. On Friday kellen and I helped Marc and Pam Kelly take their cows up to their range in the mountains above firth. It was a cold day. i was grateful that Pam, Juliet and i were in a truck the whole time, because the original plan was that Juliet and I would be on our 4-wheeler, but we couldn't fit it in the trailer along with a horse, two cows with their calves. Juliet had 4 blowout diapers in that one day. it is getting ever harder to change her diaper with her in my lap. Well it snowed on us and then it rained and Pam and I had to get the truck back down to the road or we were going to get stuck up there. We then drove out to Arco to visit family and return their horse trailer. Juliet has proved to the in-laws that she does have lungs and does use them from time to time. They didn't believe she had any. Then Juliet and i hung out saturday and Sunday. Monday was kellen's first day of work and then that eveningwe went to look at a home for rent. I did like the house, but kellen and i are going to live in our camper again this summer and saveourselves that much more money that we can put towards buying a home. i told Paige Telford about the house and so they might be able to move soon, which I know will make Seth and Emily happy. Well Until another day. I have to get packing.

Finals here, Finals there

Hello everybody. As the title indicates the finals week of school has arrived. Kellen will be done with all of his finals Tuesday, while I have to wait until Thursday to finish mine. Toady was such a nice day that I decided after Kellen had left from coming home for lunch that Juliet and I were going to go for a walk. This plan was foiled because kellen had the car and the stroller was in the trunk, so we went to plan B: sit on the lawn. Juliet liked being outside, but it was so bright it took her a while to adjust. She went to sleep and I continued to study my spanish. I ended up taking a nap on the lawn with Juliet, but I was not totally protected from the sun and now have a sunburn on my legs. I was at least smart enough to keep my face and arm in the shade, but my legs got away. Okay i am going to attempt to put a picture up here. We'll see how good I do.

yay it worked. Isn't she cute in her blessing dress.

Here we go

Well it is true Mj told me that I should do this so they could see pictures of Juliet. i haven't figured that out yet, but I do plan to. Anyway I don't know a lot about this kind of stuff, but if i am going to do it Kellen said that I would do it myself. He isn't into this type of stuff, which okay by me. He prefers to look at trucks and find out how to do cool stuff with them. One example is to turn a regular truck into a six wheel drive, meaning you have 6 tires and and an axle. till next time
